Final Look For Whiplash In Iron Man 2?

So we all know that Mickey Rourke is playing Whiplash in Iron Man 2. But all anyone had seen of it so far can just tell that Whiplash looks a bit fruity in his bondage gear. But now Marvel are releasing a 4 part comic called ‘Iron Man vs Whiplash’ just to get peoples mouths salivating at the thought of waiting any longer for the film. Interestingly enough, Whiplash has a completely new outfit (pictured above), so could this be the Whiplash we’ll see in the next movie…compared to the earlier picture we’ve all seen of Mickey Rourke i can only hope so.

Marvel’s “Ultimatum” Comic Trailer

I’ve never been a big fan of any Ultimate Marvel comic (apart from Spiderman) and i’m not sure whats been going on in all the other series but from this trailer i can pretty much gather that the Marvel world has pissed off Magneto in a big way. The trailer looks like this story is worth reading and is written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by David Finch so a star line up to boot. From what i’ve read of the spoilers for this series is that the ENTIRE Ultimate universe is about to change for good, there’s even talk of killing some big names too. Watch the trailer and feel free to tell me what you think.

Don Cheadle To Play War Machine In Iron Man?

News brought to you via SuperheroHype that Don Cheadle is to replace Terrence Howard as Col. James Rhodes in Iron Man due to contract problems. This is not confirmed news just yet but Marvel are hoping to strike a deal a.s.a.p as Marvel have wanted to work with Don Cheadle for a while now. This could be the perfect role for him to play. Let me know what you think, i think its a great idea.

New Marvel Legends ‘Build A Red Hulk’ Set Out Now!

Avaliable now from bigbadtoystore for a lovely price of $145 (for the whole set). This series includes Wolverine (With a Black costume X-Force variant Wolverine, nice), Silver Savage (meh), Adam Warlock (who now?), Union Jack (pretty cool looking), Black Suit Spiderman (yes yes ye!), Spiral (with special variant, erm…wow) and with these figures you get body parts to build an awesome looking Red Hulk! Buff? I think so.

Marvel To Make ‘1602′ And ‘Dr Strange’ Into Movies?

According to MTV’s Splashpage Hulk director Louis Leterrier and Neil Gaiman are pretty much begging for Marvel to make these films happen. I’m not too sure on 1602 (only because i haven’t read it) but a Dr Strange movie would give me happy time in my pants…just so you know.

New Avengers:Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Cartoon

This is what The Hollywood Reporter had to say:

Film Roman, the company behind “The Simpsons” and “King of the Hill,” has been tapped to produce the 26-episode series, which will be available for broadcast in 2011, in time for Marvel Studios’ releases of the tentpole live-action movies “The First Avenger: Captain America” and “The Avengers.”

Producing the series is Ciro Nieli, whose credits include “Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!” and “Teen Titans,” based on the DC Comics title. The series’ story editor is Christopher Yost, who has worked on the Marvel cartoons “Iron Man Armored Adventures” and “Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes.”

Ok ok…back to me now. So there you have it, this is NOT a straight to DVD deal. This is going to be joining the Fantastic Four and Young Iron Man for a whole new line-up of cartoons. Im not too keen on the style of animation from the picture above but i’ll wait till i see the actual thing before i judge it.

Captain America Movie Synopsis!

As reported on Comicbookmovie the synopsis for the movie is as follows:

“Born during the Great Depression, Steve Rogers grew up a frail youth in a poor family. Horrified by the newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to enlist in the army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he was rejected. Overhearing the boy’s earnest plea, General Chester Phillips offered Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment… Operation: Rebirth.”

“After weeks of tests, Rogers was at last administered the ‘Super-Soldier Serum’ and bombarded by ‘vita-rays.’ Steve Rogers emerged from the treatment with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. Rogers was then put through an intensive physical and tactical training program. Three months later, he was given his first assignment as Captain America. Armed with his indestructible shield and battle savvy, Captain America has continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and leader of the Avengers.”

…sounds pretty buff to me.
