Captain America’s Poor Cameo In The Hulk

October 13, 2008

This image is taken from Comicbookmovie as well as the next zoomed in image. This is what everyone in the comic book world has been raving about??? Not even a close up shot of him and you can barely make out that its meant to be a shield. If you look at this zoomed in image it helps make things a bit clearer.

Are you impressed after all the hype? Im not…i’m not even sure if this is the real cameo as it seems like the whole thing could have been made up from the beginning.

Avengers vs The Hulk?

October 10, 2008

Straight from MTV’s Splashpage ’Iron Man’ writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby agree with ‘The Hulk’ director Louis Leterrier in his quest for The Hulk to be the villain in the ‘Avengers’ movie. In my honest opinion i couldn’t agree more, i think it would be a fantastic idea (as long as they dont make it anything like the Avengers cartoon movie which blew). In pretty much all superhero films you have a villain who’s a mad scientist or just crazy or just so happened to fall in a vat of acid etc…

But in this case you’ll have The Hulk (who has fought pretty much every hero in comics already) who is just a lost soul and not sure how to deal with his rage so there can be awesome moments where he’s beating down on Iron Man and then moments where Bruce Banner (The Hulk) is spilling his guts out to Captain America about how he needs help. I think The Hulk as the villain would be the perfect choice. They could then throw The Sentry in to the Avengers as he is the only man The Hulk will listen to. But hey, thats just my opinion. And i also apologise as i went on a bit of a geek rant there, i do that from time to time.

New Avengers:Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Cartoon

October 8, 2008

This is what The Hollywood Reporter had to say:

Film Roman, the company behind “The Simpsons” and “King of the Hill,” has been tapped to produce the 26-episode series, which will be available for broadcast in 2011, in time for Marvel Studios’ releases of the tentpole live-action movies “The First Avenger: Captain America” and “The Avengers.”

Producing the series is Ciro Nieli, whose credits include “Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!” and “Teen Titans,” based on the DC Comics title. The series’ story editor is Christopher Yost, who has worked on the Marvel cartoons “Iron Man Armored Adventures” and “Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes.”

Ok ok…back to me now. So there you have it, this is NOT a straight to DVD deal. This is going to be joining the Fantastic Four and Young Iron Man for a whole new line-up of cartoons. Im not too keen on the style of animation from the picture above but i’ll wait till i see the actual thing before i judge it.

Captain America Movie Synopsis!

October 6, 2008

As reported on Comicbookmovie the synopsis for the movie is as follows:

“Born during the Great Depression, Steve Rogers grew up a frail youth in a poor family. Horrified by the newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to enlist in the army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he was rejected. Overhearing the boy’s earnest plea, General Chester Phillips offered Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment… Operation: Rebirth.”

“After weeks of tests, Rogers was at last administered the ‘Super-Soldier Serum’ and bombarded by ‘vita-rays.’ Steve Rogers emerged from the treatment with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. Rogers was then put through an intensive physical and tactical training program. Three months later, he was given his first assignment as Captain America. Armed with his indestructible shield and battle savvy, Captain America has continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and leader of the Avengers.”

…sounds pretty buff to me.

Well it turns out people are liars!

September 10, 2008

Is Will Smith going to be Captain America? Derek Luke says yes, Marvel say no, I’m still saying who the hell is Derek Luke?!? Mr Luke, i don’t like you.

As for Philip Seymour Hoffman playing The Penguin, this is what he said:

“No one has talked to me about it–ever.”

So it also turns out that Michael Caine doesn’t have a clue what his talking about and nor does this ‘mystery’ Warner Brothers exec that he spoke to.

I wonder if Brad Pitt has been offered the role of Mary Jane Watson yet?*

*This was my false rumor that i originally started in a previous post ^_^

Will Smith to be Captain America?!?

September 9, 2008

Erm…ok i guess?

This news came from some actor called Derek Luke during an interview with MTV, all i can say is, who the hell is Derek Luke and why does he get to make outrageous accusations and not me…Oh well, here goes my statement. Brad Pitt has been offered the role of Mary Jane Watson in Spiderman 4 if Kirsten Dunst doesn’t resign, there you have it…i just started an internet rumor.

But in saying that, it could still happen, who knows…Will Smith has been offered the role of Superman in the past as well as Neo (Matrix)…watch this space. Also if Brad Pitt does end up playing MJ then you heard it here first.
