DCUC Wave 4 Images.

Mattel sends along these photos of DCUC Series 4 in package (not pictured: the regular Batman Beyond). According to Mattel, Captain Atom Gold and Silver will be at a 50/50 ratio and Artemis will be a chase version of Wonder Woman (about the same as maskless Deathstroke). The Cyborg with Sonic Arm and maskless Batman Beyond are KB Toys exclusives. The build a figure for this series will be Despero.

Manga Ent. UK strike deal with Funimation for 5 anime series

According to a news report published by Eyeonanime.co.uk, UK distributor Manga Ent. have struck a deal with US anime publisher Funimation to release the following anime series in the UK on DVD:

• Black Blood Brothers Series 1 Part 1 (November 10th 2008)
• Ghost Hunt Series 1 Part 1
• Itsudatte My Santa!
• Jy-Oh-Sei: Planet of the Beast King
• xxxHOLiC Series 1 Part 1 (October 27th 2008)

No more information than the above has been revealed, and indeed, UK anime fans are bound to have many questions about this, not least of all whether or not Funimation have again switched their UK DVD distribution. This time from Revelation Films to Manga Ent., keeping in mind that the former originally replaced MVM Films as Funimation’s UK distributor in 2006. More news has been promised for October’s London Expo.

         

ITS TUESDAY T-SHIRT DAY!

Its that time again, ok not really…this is the first time but the first of many. Every tuesday i will show you my ‘T-shirt of the Week’ and you must go and buy it to be cool like me. The first t-shirt of this newly appointed awesomeness is this Optimus Prime airbrush design. I think its awesome and its the original Optimus Prime and not the Prime of the stupid movie with flames all over him like he went through a car shop in Grand Theft Auto.

This news came from some actor called Derek Luke during an interview with MTV, all i can say is, who the hell is Derek Luke and why does he get to make outrageous accusations and not me…Oh well, here goes my statement. Brad Pitt has been offered the role of Mary Jane Watson in Spiderman 4 if Kirsten Dunst doesn’t resign, there you have it…i just started an internet rumor.

But in saying that, it could still happen, who knows…Will Smith has been offered the role of Superman in the past as well as Neo (Matrix)…watch this space. Also if Brad Pitt does end up playing MJ then you heard it here first.

Mercenaries 2 advert song revealed

I was checking through my stats and my last Mercenaires post (the advert) has been my biggest hit so far so i thought i’d treat all you little butt nuggets to this piece of imformation. The song was actually made just for this advert and its called “Oh No You Didn’t” by the Wojahn Brothers, a commercial music production house. I’m not sure if its availiable to download anywhere and i’m not going to look for you either…lazy.

Will Batman 3 happen?

Will it happen? Should it happen? Can they top The Dark Knight? I think there’s no harm in giving it a try and Michael Caine thinks the same way. In a recent interview he asked how Heath Ledger can be topped and the reply was: ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’

This came from a Warner Brothers Executive so it has to mean something.  What do i think of all this? Johnny Deep as Ridder and Philip Seymour Hoffman as penguin…get ready for a better Batman film! I love the idea of A List celebrities doing all the superhero films now, it gives a lot of credit to the comic world and i personally think they make the best films…thats my opinion though, don’t question it.
