Revoltech + Ryu = Wet Dream

Its safe to say that Revoltech have answered my prayers and made a Street Fighter toy worth having. Their new series includes Ryu and Tei-Ran from the Street Fighter franchise although instead of Tei-Ran i would have prefered a Vega or Blanka. The Ryu even comes with a Hadukon fire ball…need i say more? Both can be pre-ordered now for $22.99 but most likely to be £25-£30 in England. The release date is October.

This looks like its going to be the best anime to game adaptaion as the gameplay is awesome, it really looks like your just playing an anime, the graphics are perfect. Only problem for us X-box 360 owners is that its PS3 only, you lucky devils!

DVD release date for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

When 17-year-old Makoto Konno gains the ability to, quite literally, “leap” backwards through time, she immediately sets about improving her grades and preventing personal mishaps. However, she soon realises that changing the past isn’t as simple as it seems, and eventually, will have to rely on her new powers to shape the future of herself and her friends.

I personally loved this film, its a funny family film and light hearted and defiantely a film for all anime fans to watch. I watched this at an anime all nighter in May but after winning all kinds of indepentant film awards its finally been given a dvd release date which is 08/12/08 so check it out, you won’t be dissapointed…but if you are, tell someone else.

Spiderman 4 and 5 already in the works?

It has been reported that Director Sam Raimi and Lead Actor Toby Maguire have signed a new deal with Sony for Spiderman 4 and maybe even 5 to be filmed back to back. No word if Kirsten Dunst is coming back as Mary Jane Watson and no word on the villians yet but a hollywood reporter has stated:

‘once you find out who the villain is, you’ll know who’s playing it.’ This just leads to speculation that it could be Dr Curt Connors/The Lizard played by Dylan Baker and/or John Jameson/Man Wolf played by Daniel Gilles in Spiderman 2. More news will come to you as soon as i hear it.

Gatchaman Teaser Clip!

Ok, this is only a 10 second clip but it should be enough to get any die hard fan going. Gatchaman or ‘Battle of the Planets’ (what it was called in the US/UK) already looks to be the same sort of theme as Speed Racer with most of the film including the background/set being CGI.
